Minhas Life Services does not contract with any insurance companies and is therefore considered an out of network provider. Services are therefore on a private pay basis and payment is made at the time of service.
Out-of-network benefits cover therapy with the professional you choose without needing authorization from your insurance. Therapy is not managed by the insurance company.
Please note - In order to use any health insurance benefits, you need to qualify for a mental health disorder that is defined by a diagnostic code. Not all my clients want this and some choose life coaching.
Most health insurance plans provide some form of coverage for outpatient therapy. In-network benefits cover psychotherapy with professionals who sign contracts with the insurance company to provide services at a set rate.
Although you are free to submit claims to your insurance company yourself, please be aware that Bijay Minhas LCSW does not become involved in this process.
As a courtesy, Bijay Minhas LCSW will provide you with the necessary billing and diagnosis codes in order for you to receive the benefits you are entitled.
It is very important that you find out exactly what mental health services your insurance policy covers. Even if you submit the claims yourself, you may not be reimbursed for services. Call your insurance company and tell them you would like to go out of network for behavioral health.
